I found out I enjoyed star gazing with Binoculars not to long ago, being able to kick back, under dark skies, and enjoy spectacular views is right up my alley.
I had a chance to get a used pair of Fujinon 16X70's, never heard of them, so I looked them up on CN, and figured I better get them. : ) Just can't wait to get them out!!!!!

Tom...
These binocs are the cream of the crop..you will really like the views they give you. But they are a little heavy to hand hold for long periods of time. Good luck with them.

>>>they are a little heavy to hand hold for long periods of time<<<
I've owned a pair for ~12 years. Great bins but at 16x and an ounce shy of 5 lb they really need a mount. I use a parallelogram type. The OD of the eyepieces is so big it's tough to get the bridge of my nose between them and EPs close enough to my eyes. For this reason I usually use them with the rubber eyecups removed. Those with less prominent noses and/or wider IPD have less difficulty with this.

You should be delighted with them. I have had a pair for about a month now having decided to take the plunge after many years of owning a pair of 10X70 FMT-SX. The 16s show fainter stars but, obviously, as others have said, they are somewhat of a challenge to hand hold.
They seem to about as near to indestructible as anything optical can be, so they should easily outlast you.
I hope you have many, many happy hours just roaming around the sky with them.
Good luck with them.

Tom, I almost missed your post! I didn't need two pairs of these and I am happy to see my extra set go to a person that will truly enjoy them. If when you get out under dark skies you find they aren't what you want, just sent them back and we are still buds.
Best regards,
Gary

Gary, Even though I have not got them out under dark skies, I know I will love them and I am honored to have a pair of binos once owned by you! : )
