Next is the Veil nebula. This the the brighter and more obvious section. The UHC helps bring this one out of the light pollution.

TenthEnemy,
These are all fantastic sketches. Since I usually observe with the same size scope, I can appreciate how nice these sketches match the view in this size scope. I especially like the Andromeda galaxy sketch with its companions. Excellent post.

Very nicely done and excellent captures. You really nailed these. I really like your capture of the core of M31.

Very beautifully rendered TE, I especially enjoyed your Andromeda Galaxy, wonderful detail in the dark lanes and core glow.

TE,
Fantastic observations of a variety of deep sky objects. You have captured them all very nicely, especially the Veil Nebula. Thank you for sharing them with us all.

Absolutely incredible sketches. They almost exactly mirror what I see at the eyepiece.

Thank you all for the wonderful comments. This is probably my favorite set of sketches that I've done, especially M31.
I'll be visiting a darker site on the new moon weekend and try to observe and sketch M31 and the veil from there if the conditions are okay. Do me a favor and don't buy any telescopes this week or next
