Observing the sun in He light... new
      #3329203 - 09/12/09 04:31 AM

Hey guys and gals, I wonder if I can pick your collective solar knowledge:

Does anyone know anywhere other than Kitt Peak that gives daily images of the He sun? There's one here http://umbra.nascom.nasa.gov/images/ which is derived from http://nsosp.nso.edu/ospan/ but don't know of any more. Can anyone point me to anymore? Only other one I came across is BASS2000 but theirs is just a prom image - i'm after full disks.

Cheers, Mark

Mark Hi there is this site http://www.solobskh.ac.at/index... I'll have a look for others but this is a good start. John

But still the big boys cannot show what we can see. Nothing shown on the site but I have had some f(s)un. A comment on this fact would be interesting, on a new thread perhaps!

At 304nm the atmosphere is pretty opaque. Perhaps if you view through the ozone hole in the Antartic?
