13/9/2009 - Great Loop Prominence new
      #3331172 - 09/13/09 09:43 AM

I`m back with observation from athens after 4-5 days with heavy rain and strong wind. Completely without sun. Today the situation making better but has mist.

The disk without something very special on the surface. No filaments and small plages.

The best phainomena at the limb today. A great loop prominence at SW is the leader today. Take a capture from her and make exposure.

You will see the ISOPHOTES OF THE CORONA. Give the best icon of the SOLAR MINIMUM.

I count all the prominences today and 5-6 but only two is more bigger than the others.

Great photos, Theo!

Several hours later, I'm enjoying that arch prom here on the east coast USA...it has gotten even more knotted and complex! And, clear skies and good daytime seeing, first in many days!

Jim
