They are nice shots of our 'dormant' sun! I'm going to lug all the kit out shortly as I have that rare UK commodity of a clear blue daytime sky. I WILL observe the sun, even if there is nothing to see!

I just saw two v-shaped proms, one in the SE part of the sun, and one on the SW part. (SW one is brighter). Had to zoom in, but they're there...

Edit: 1 Hour later, and the SE prom is getting huge! Not v shaped anymore either.

(By the way, I am using the 'solar orientation' chart under the 'solar tips and tutorial' section. I am assuming that the same orientation holds true in my Lunt when compared to a PST)

The orientation of the Lunt and PST are not the same. The PST uses a pentaprism, 2 reflecting surfaces so you end up with a simple inverted image. The Lunt has one reflecting surface so the orientation is the mirror image, north and south are swapped in the 'normal' viewing position.
