Hi all, after finally completeing my polar alignment useing the drift methord i brought up the calibrate sensor menu in the autostar II HANDBOX,but when i press enter the HBx just tells me that the mount is not Alz E1,can anyone explain the meaning of this message?. The only thing i can think of is that after selecting polar as my mount, the autostar will not use calibrate sensors. Also after going in to the train drive (Ra), when i push mode to exit does this automatically save the training session?,or do i have to select update after pressing the mode button.
regards ian

The LNT sensors are applicable only to using the fork mount "level" i.e. in alt az mode. Calibration is used for getting the LNT module to recognise north & level more accurately. If your scope is on a wedge, sensor calibration is not needed, in fact you might as well remove the LNT module.

Calibrating sensors adjusts the LNT module for YOUR SITE'S magnetic deviation in alt az mode.
