ETX125PE loses target setting
      #3337127 - 09/16/09 11:38 AM

Seems like the scope always loses the astronomical target setting. I have to update it every session, any ideas?

I don't fully understand your question. But, there is a watch battery inside the LNT module that keeps time and date. You can buy a new battery (CR2032) just about anywhere.

Yep, sounds like the LNT battery may have flaked. Good idea to keep a couple extra in your accessories bag for just such emergencies.

In the menu: SETUP - TARGETS - Astronomical - Terrestrial

Forgot, I also have the Atomic Time Update Module but will replace the batter anyway.

Replacing the battery won't do pea-turkey to help that.

I'm guessing that you are still on "astronomical" no matter what the display _seems_ to say. With some things you have to scroll down to see the selected setting.
