Hoping someone can help with this every annoying problem.
At random the RA scale on my skywatcher HEQ5 will stop moving as I move the scope. Obviously I then need to spend 5 minutes resetting. It seems to be more prevalent as I go past the 0 degrees mark, but not restricted to that area. I have tried moving the scope with and without the thumb screw tightened and if anything, it is better with it loose, but still the scale will stick perhaps 3 or 4 times in an observing session.
Does anyone have any idea where I should start to look for a solution?
