This was a first for me, I’ve been watching quite a few long period variable on their way up, or on their way down, but up until now they’re passed out of my viewing area before reaching maximum or minimum. I’ve since moved my scope a bit so I can keep some of the far northern stars under observation for a bit longer. Below is a summary of the observations of RR Cep posted on the AAVSO web site over the past 2 years. GHN are my observations.
