What will be the best choice between the Barska Cosmos 20x80 and the Helios Quantum-4 20x80 (triplet)?

They are both Kunming-United BA4 and BA3 series binoculars and are sold under other names.
The Basksa Cosmos are lighter at 2.5 Kgs
The Helios Quantom 4's are Triplets and are heavier at 3.17 Kgs.
[When tripod mounting this is not as important.]
The 20x80 triplets display slightly less CA and a mildly flatter field.
The 20x80 triplet has a clear aperture of 74-75 mm.
The Barska Cosmos 20x80 model [with the metal cover of the prism/eyepiece housing] has a 70 mm clear aperture.
The Helios / Garrett / Oberwerk 20x80 triplets are more a of a known optical and build quality.
However the 'triplet design' does not neccessarily make it automatically superior. Q. and A. is important here.
I have a 20x80 Triplet and have used a 'clone' 20x80 Bosma.
I would choose the triplets - if the price difference is not marked.

Are the Basksa Cosmos the same as the Helios Quantum-3?

The Barskas are the BA4 versions. The Helios are the BA3 versions. However each binocular seller may order slightly different optical and build specs. of that model from Kunming United which they then onsell. This may include different lens coatings / eye cup design / I.F. or C.F. etc.

The Helios-3 seem like the BA4 (Barska Cosmos) and the Helios-4 like the BA3. Can anyone confirm this?

It could be that 4 is considered an unlucky number is some places , including in Leatherette ! :-)

I just took possession of a set of the cheaper 20x80 Barska binos, the X-Trail model. I wanted to check the brand out. Might have been a bad choice as my mini review is:
Not so hot. OK for direct daytime use. Not modifiable, generally speaking, the optics package (objective) is glued. Nearly 100% plastic in assembly. Not good -Not to me, anyway. Whatta yah want for $100? I paid $40 for a used pair as I was just ..curious.
