Hi guys, here are some images from "San Antonio de Areco", a 4 class sky 100 km away from Buenos Aires.
I took between 50 and 80 frames for each image, 20 darks and 20 bias, 30 sec subs with my SW 6" f5 eq3 reflector without guiding and the Canon 300 d.
They are a little bit noisy. Hope you like them and thanks for any advice!
Regards,
Javier

Those are very good for 30s pics.

Amazing! And with that equipment?! I especially like NGC253. I have the same mount and 5" f5 scope but never tried imaging trough it (infocus travel problem ) but I'm using it with my camera lenses. Have you ever tried longer exposures or maybe autoguiding?

Thanks guys. I really aprreciate your kind words.
8buch, I´m sure you will take pictures soon, it´s very funny and interesting, you will love it.
Igor, I know about about the infocus travel problem in that OTA, but I know some people who have replaced the original focuser to image with DSRL, with great results.
I spend a lot of time, something like 2 hour, to make a really accurate polar alignment with the drift method. With this, the eq3 can give up to 45-60 seconds, but since the PE in really high, you have to discard a lot of frames.
I´m looking foward to modify the pad to be able to guide with a very unexpensive short refractor and a SPC 900.
I´ve tried manual guiding, but the barlowed 70/400 refractor is not enough too guide 750 FL.
Good luck!

I didn't know that! And what replacement focuser did they use if you remember?

I did that and it's well worth it, IMHO.

I´m going to check out to be sure, but I think the Orion crayford would work to do DSRL prime focus imaging.
