Hi,
I am looking for a software that allows me to select several DSO for a constellation and I can generate a chart, similar to the ones shown in "Best 110 NGC" book. The goal is to have a rough aproximation about where the objects are located to look for it in more detailed atlas.
Thanks

My first suggestion would be Phil Harrington's TUBA (Touring the Universe with Binoculars Atlas.) It uses an ASCII text file that you can trim down or expand upon to your taste. It's available for free download (easy to search for). The database included does cater to binoculars and small telescopes, but there is a pretty rich sampling of the best DSOs.

My favorite chart making combo is Deepsky Astronomy Software with which you can choose dso's by constellation, type, magnitude, etc (or all of the above). It has many lists built in. I use Cartes du Ciel which works in conjunction with it to make charts which can be as simple and wide field or as fine and detailed as you want. With this combo I was able to find all 2400+ Herschells with my non-computerized dobs. Check out the website at: http://www.deepskysoftware.net/
Good luck, Dave

The freeware Cartes du Ciel works for me. I'm sure whether it will meet your needs, though.

Thanks
I have been working with it for two days and I think it is fine for me.
