This is a heads up for Comet Chasers.
The following moderately bright comets are available for observation in the first half of next year. The format is
A. Comet designation and name
B. Peak expected magnitude
C period of peak magnitude
D Approx sky location at peak magnitude
1. C/2007 Q3 (Siding Spring), 9.0, Dec 2009 - Jan 2010, Leo/Bootes (morning)
2. C/2009 O2 (Catalina), 8.9, March 2010, Andromeda (evening)
3. C/2009 K5 (McNaught), 9.6, April 2010, North Cygnus (morning)
4. C/2009 R1 (McNaught), 6.3, June 2010, Taurus/Cetus (evening) - only 33 degree solar elongation at this time

Ahhhh...something to look forward to...thanks for posting the info. Hopefully the sun will ramp up in activity and give these snowballs their tails!
