When viewing near London Heathrow Airport you get used to tempering your expectations of what you can see.
Imagine my suprise when viewing Jupiter on the 24th that I noticed what looked to be a small black pencil 'dot' between the two main belts.
My first thoughts were that a speck of muck was by chance causing this. A split second later I realized that this was not the case...and I was whtching a transit!!
Checking back later confirmed that the 'dot' was moving across the planet....WOO HOOO!!
Checking Starrynight Pro later that evening I found it to be a transit of Ganemeade (sorry about the spelling!)
This little ETX never ceases to amaze me in it's 'small 'scope' abilities!!
