Stellar Mirrors?
      #3360434 - 09/27/09 08:31 PM

I traded for a Stellar 10"f9 mirror and cannot find anything on this company. Probably 20 or more years ago?

All it has on the back is "Stellar f9" with the name "Pond" bellow it.

Anyone know anything about this company?

Robert

I have reached a dead end on this "Stellar" brand mirror. Pretty sure the name Pond scribed on the back is the customer this mirror was made for.

I could send it in for testing but I think I'll go ahead and build a OTA for it and see what I have. 10"f9 as you know will require about a 7ft. tube, I have a GEM that can handle it.

Could be a door stop or a super nice planetary mirror.

I have a Meade LX200EMC 10"f10 OTA that produces fabulous visual images when it and the atmosphere are perfect (very rare), will be interesting to see how this mirror with a minimum size secondary is in comparison.
