This is my new set-up in my partially finished but useable roll-off observatory. AP900GTO, Meade 10" f6.3 (yes, an old one), Optec NGF-S, Stellarvue 105APO Triplet. A dream of over a decade to have my own observatory and a permanent mounting for my equipment. The rewards are wonderful and I have just started using it.

The obs. has fold-down sides (2') on three walls and is located near Julian, Ca. (San Diego County) at 4,000' elevation.

Hello,

Guys,

This is the day after I received my totally cool MI-250 back from the manufacturer. The refurb service is advertised at www.mountaininstruments.com. My mount is 9 years old and I am the 4th owner, but you wouldnt know it from looking at it!

BTW, I took this photo to show moi and my new mount, but whats really amazing is all the 'big boxes' built recently around my house. (Sarcasm inteded)..hopefully they will put a high intensity floodlamp up soon!

cheers from the Biggest Little City ...er just Big City,

Paul

Perhaps the ultimate grab & go mount. Small, lightweight, portable and best of all, you can carry it in your shirt pocket.

Man those AP & Losmondy mounts are machined works of art!

Here's my 22 year old Super Polaris - the surveyors tripod is the best upgrade in the world for these smaller mounts. I made the custom eyepiece tray which also improved the rigidity.
