I have a discovery 10" f5.6 dob that I have redone. My ground board is a circular baltic birch that is 1/2" thick (the original was a triangle 3/4" composite). I used the original feet on the new ground board, but they are fixed and too small. I travel to dark sites in the mountains that are rough and rocky and need some feet that are more substantial and adjustable. I tried ACE hardware but found nothing that would work there. Do you have any suggestions of were I can purchase some feet that would match these requirements?
Thanks,
~jerry

Here's some I've bought in the past from Woodcraft.. they have a few others, too. I've used these with nuts on either side of the groundboard. These are only $6.99 for a pack of 4. Here's another bunch from Reid Supply, a company I've used with great success in the past for knobs and other hardware. Good luck. You can probably find them online other places if you search the term "levelers", or check McMaster-Carr online.

Also check McMaster-Carr's on line catalog here:

They have the largest selection of adjustable feet that I've found, both fixed and swiveling. I use my 12.5" F5.3 on an equatorial platform in rough places. The platform has swiveling feet on 3/8"-16 stainless threaded rod through a threaded brass insert in the base. A wing-nut locks the foot in place after I get it adjusted to minimize wiggle or vibration.
