Hi Everyone,
I am so close to getting a LS60 B1200 (Hopefully) and have a few quick questions about it. What would be a good price to pay for it in the UK (£s)? Also, does it have problems with focusing with some EPs/Webcams? Also, it has a screw fitting for a standard tripod on the shell? so is a tripod suitable (Could it hold it steadily?) Finally, thanks to everyone who helped me make up my mind and who gave me advice in any of my other threads.
Jon

Can you explain why? Does the Double Stack in front of the main scope degrade the image?
If so, in what way? If not, is it that the improved view is not worth the extra cost?
Thanks.

hi gene
yes we found that the 50 mm DS filter is blurring the image. we have checked that on the lunt 60, a TAK, a MAK and on the megrez with a B1200. some how it just does not work.

how many DIFFERENT Lunt filter sets and B1200s did you try it with? What was the date of this result?

Jon, Glad to hear you'll be getting a Lunt 60! I have been using a video camera tripod (that I had laying around) for my LS60 but would not recommend buying one for use with the scope. If you have one already use it until you can afford a more heavy duty astronomy tripod/mount. The LS60 is so much more heavy than I thought it was going to be, sort of scares me sitting on that dinky tripod. From what I hear the B1200 should be sufficent to handle cameras, binoviewers, and 'needy' eyepieces. Hope that helps! -Michael
