Galileoscope - pretty awesome!
      #3367106 - 09/30/09 09:33 PM

My son and I attended the Astronomy at the Beach party here in Michigan last weekend with the Cub scouts. He won a Galileoscope in a raffle! We took our time putting it together. we blackened the edges of all the optics(not sure if it really helped). We couldn't test it out till this evening(been cloudy since we got it). I have to say that I am quite impressed with this little scope! We were able to see the bands of jupiter and 4 moons with the supplied eyepiece and barlow. I tried a few of my eyepieces in it also. Pretty nice views! I think I have my first grab and go scope. Oh yeah, the Astronomy at the Beach party was excellent too! Did anyone else from cloudy nights attend?
