I sketched this crater while I waited for the seeing to improve for Jupiter, then pulled all my equipment down and put it away. Now I have NO IDEA what crater this is and am thoroughly breeching protocol by not labeling the sketch!
Any ideas? Thanks!! - j

Jay,
I think it is crater Mersenius and it looks like a very fine sketch too. Well done.

Jay, beautiful capture of the crater. You could download the virtual moon atlas (for windows based machines) and set up for the date and time and highlight the area you were observing and then zoom in (fun program and its free) Virtual Moon Atlas
I run it on my Dell for work and have never had a problem with it.

Jay,
An excellent observation of a lunar crater (Mersenius?) You have recorded this lunar crater very nicely. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
