did you buy software of Mel? I don't buy it, only the basic config software from Gary.

No need to buy software. It is part of the SiTech control program. I Don't know who Gary is, The man who builds the SiTech controller is named Dan Gray.

Join & log on to SiTechs User group & you can download the latest software version. Then you can run the program without the controller connected (it runs in FAKE mode) to see what it's all about.

As far as the meridian flip, It is all automatic once you get the parameters setup. There is a built in database for a ton of stars, the M-list & the NGC list. You can use this database to sync your scope & goto's. Once you know the format, you can create your own database files. You can drive the controller with any ASCOM compliant planetarium. I drive my scope with MegaStar. There has been talk on the user group about a homing switch, I never paid any attention to it so I don't know whats involved. I "PARK" my scope at the end of the night. This way the next time I'm ready to go, I just "UNPARK" & slew to my first object.
