After making a cable that has the following pin-out, I have been able to connect my MySky to my Argo Navis, and have the MySky direct the Argo Navis.
What this means is that any scope using an Argo Navis as the heart of it's GOTO system (like with a ServoCat equiped Dob, etc.) can be directed from the Meade MySky.
When looking at the MySky connector with it standing on it's foot:
Top pin is TX Next pin is Rx Next pin is not used Bottom pin is ground
When looking at the Argo Navis serial connector (either one) with the locking tab recess on the bottom:
Left pin is Tx (connect to MySky Rx) Next pin is Rx (connect to to MySky Tx) Next pin is Ground. Right pin is not used
Once the Argo Navis is set up for Meade emulation for the serial port you plan to use, and by setting it's "Catalog" mode to "Planetarium" the MySky will send it's object data to the Argo Navis when you press "Point Scope" on the MySky. The Argo Navis will in turn use that input to guide you to the object (as normal) or allow you to do a GOTO if you have it connected to that type of system.
This brings the MySky's outstanding audio and video multi-media features, data base, and tours to the Argo Navis ..... and consequently to any scope that the Argo Navis is connected to (be it a push-to or GOTO) as well as it's (limited) GPS (assuming you have the 1.2tc firmware or have made an SD of that version as per my earlier post). The Argo Navis adds all it's many features including it's high precision and pointing modeling to the multi-media, etc. of the MySky. The perfect marriage of astro gear.
Best regards,
Gary
