Jupiter and the kids 9-30-09 in poor seeing new
      #3367377 - 09/30/09 11:27 PM Attachment (20 downloads)

I waited for the seeing to calm down, but it never did. However, I used the time to take some notes as to some of the more subtle details in the shading of Jupiter and I think this is my closest representation of the view from the EP yet for me. My new 4mm TMB was overkill in this type of seeing, but I think it's going to be a winner! - j

Has Jupiter been losing weight? Maybe you should squash it a bit.

Oh yeah, and this sketch is absolutely stunning!

Jay,

Outstanding rendition and glad to see it entered into the monthly contest. BTW, I also think your scopes are a piece of art, have you considered sketching them?

Jay,

An excellent observation of Jupiter and satellites. You have recorded Jupiter very nicely. Thank you for sharing it with us all.
