Part of spider broke new
      #3341508 - 09/18/09 02:28 PM

Would anyone be willing to fabricate an aluminum support wafer? I will paypal money. Something like 1" - 1/2" diameter by 1/4" thickness. It really isn't that complicated. Just a couple threaded holes. Would probably take 5 minutes for someone who has a drill press.

Thank you.

here is a paint drawing i made, if you need any clarification let me know. i was thinking of making it out of wood but i know it won't be strong enough to hole tension.

You're welcome. Hope it does the job.
Just one thing - the top 2 threaded holes meet(the one on the rim and the collimation adjustment hole)so you'll have to make sure the screw securing the spider vane doesn't penetrate too deep and interfere with the collimation adjusting screw.
You may need to either shorten the screw or place a washer under the head if it does interfere.

I hope I haven't confused you with my long winded attempt at explaining.
It's not an issue, you just need to be aware.

Regards
Martin
