Vintage Voigtlander 9x20 prismatic
      #3371967 - 10/05/09 03:15 AM Attachment (4 downloads)

Here's a purchase made yesterday morning in a small local market.

A Voigtlander binoculars, 9x20, end 900 '.

We enclose a photo and the other you can see here.

The Voigtlander, if I'm not mistaken, was the first company in optics (in the middle of the century IXX) who built the first binoculars in history, matching two Galilean.

In 1849 he moved from Vienna, where he founded the Voigtlander in Brawnschweig in Germany.

This sample has the serial number of 3791 which should calculate its production date close to the year 1897.

If anyone has more accurate information about the serial numbers of binoculars Voigtlander, I hope you give me a help.

Thanks and Hello
