Colleagues, Is there a list of NGC objects online somewhere that is easily accessible, clickable, etc? Occasionally (actually, often) a poster will comment on NGC xxxx, and I would like a quick and easy way to look up what/where that is. Or is my best bet just to look in the index of the NSOG? Thanks, Paul

One of my favorites is the NGC/IC Project located here. Not sure if that is of help or what your looking for but it is a wonderful site, for planning or reviewing a session. I'm sure others can join in on this and other sites.
Oh, another one I like is The Way I See it located here. If you look on the right there is a blank box to type in the object and you'll see if and what others have to say on a certain NGC or Messier etc. object. Again, not sure if these are what your looking for but both are very excellent sites.

A very complete URL is;
http://www.messier45.com/
Just type in the object designation and you will get more information than you will ever need, including a small DSS photo of the object and a zoomable star chart. You will also get a complete list of alternate designations.
Also, you are not limited to NGC or IC or Messier designations, you can use ANY designation at all, the only caveat being that the format must be correct. However, there is a help file that will guide you in this matter.
Note also that you can specify a DSS size picture, if you think you would like to see a field bigger than the offered default size.
All in all, this is a great, great site.

Might try www.messier45.com. Gives coordinates, charts, mags, photos of Messier, NGC,IC, Barnard and many other classes of objects.
