The computer is a Sony Viao UMPC. I got at a few years back for a project I was working on and have not used it in a while.. so figured I would make it the computer that controlled all my equipment. I can now hook everything up to that via wireless and use a remote desktop session from my larger laptop while in the house or my car when I am out in the desert.

How is that mounted on the CPC? It strikes me as pretty high up and far back compared to others I have seen .. and yet I see can't see a bracket in that pic.

Its magic!!! .... Actually it is mounted on the Celestron camera piggyback adapter. I was told that it would not be stable enough for the scope, but it seems to be working just fine so far. I will probably eventually get a dovetail system and rings, but for now, the piggyback is working great.

OK.. I would have thought that would have been unstable as well... Then again, I thought 30 seconds was too short to get good detail for DSO's.. Your 2 for 2 ..

Similar to my setup.

I have an astrotrac also, I use the polar scope on the orbit wedge as its designed to use that scope

The didactic CPC 1100 in repose. Other than public nights, this set up is rare. Usually, I only need a finder, and if I'm lazy I won't add the piggyback.

Dewstrips are in place, but I hadn't yet added the AstroZap flexible dewshield. I like the AstroZap because it holds its shape well, while still remaining flexible.

So:

CPC 1100
Orion 120ST w/GSO-Antares 2" Crayford installed
Stellarvue 13X80mm Finder w/Rigel Pulseguide Illuminator
AstroTech Multiple Reticle Finder (on far side)
ADM rails on top, Starizona on bottom w/Losmandy c/weights (12.5 lbs)
DewNot strips and Thousand Oaks controller
JMI Motorized focuser
Stellarvue 2" Dielectric diagonal on CPC
William Optics 1.25" Dielectric diagonal on 120ST
Baader Hyperion eyepiece w/Celestron Focal Reducer/Field Flattener on CPC
Meade UWA 5000 14mm on 120ST

I think that's it.

See second pic for another view.

And another view.

Note useful duct tape (had to get that in) on the TO controller lights. Thank heavens for velcro that holds the TO controller and JMI focus controller right to hand.
