Desert Sky DSV-M Alt-Azimuth Mount new
      #3374106 - 10/06/09 09:06 AM

I have been interested in Stellarvue's M1 mount for my TV85 as a quick setup. Desert Sky now offers the DSV-M mount offering possibly a slightly higher load limit. Has anyone seen and tried the Desert Sky DSV-M mount?

I believe the new DSV-M is a smaller load mount than the DSV-1. The web site say's its for 60-80mm refractors.

I own the DSV-1 and it works great for my SV90TBV refractor which is weighs about 11lbs for just the ota.

The DSV-1 is nice and for sure would work with TV85 and probably a better match. One of the best bargains available at the moment.

I have the DSV-1 for my SV Nighthawk Classic. I am very pleased with mount and with the Desert Sky company.

Raul at Desert Sky is very good when it comes to customer service and the finished product is top notch. If you're using heavier EPs, I would lean towards the DSV-1, but talk to Raul and get his opinion as well.

Yes, Raul provides fine customer service and answered my email in less than 24hrs! He suggested the DSV-1, due to the heavier weight in the Televue. He agrees with everyone's suggestions.
