101109 - Fair seeing on a cool morning
      #3383374 - 10/11/09 09:44 AM Attachment (7 downloads)

The changing of the seasons was very evident today, most noticeably, the nip in the chilly morning air!...Although I couldn't see the AR at center disk I did think I saw the smallest indications of the one coming over the SE limb, there was a nice prom just to the south of it to help you find it...

Great sketch and report Stephen! I know what you mean about the changing seasons, it's getting a bit chillier over here now too. Only problem is less time for observing the sun and it's lower ib the sky.

I wish it would cool down here. Right now at 8:12 pm it is 86 deg. with it feeling like 96 deg. This morning and this afternoon it was over 90 with 80% humidity. I couldn't touch anything black on my scope or mount. Please send cool weather this way. Please!
