It's not just the coffee grinder sound, but a squeaking when slewing. Didn't notice it the first couple times out, but now I do.
You can hear it here:
lxd75 squeak
I just got finished taking the play out of the ascension axis and that works fine, so I was going to crack open the declination housing. Anything I should be on the lookout for? - j

From what I can tell, the encoder is contacting the encoder wheel. It looks like I can move the encoder wheel down a little if I have the right micro metric hex wrenches, but the encoder looks a little tilted when I'm sure it should be parallel to the wheel... - j

After removing the motor from the housing, I was able to rest the housing encoder so that it was against a table-top. I took a small, flat-head screwdriver and pushed down on the far side of the encoder and it snapped into place. Now it's parallel to the encoder ring and no longer brushes against it.
The squeak is gone!
Next clear night, I get to see if it still works... :P - j

Wow! I can't believe the amount of interest this post generated! :P
Anyways, the mount is more solid than ever, doesn't squeak, tracks, trains and aligns just fine.
Good for me! - j

Thanks for the post. I save little things like this for "down the road." I just adjusted my RA drivetrain last evening. So far no problems in the DEC, but "you just never know."
