This is a challenging object for me to process.
This is (10) x 15mins at ISO1600
(TEC 200ED and EOS 40D)
Looking forward to adding more time tonight I hope. This is my first time using 15 minute frames @ ISO1600. Average background at 15 mins/ISO1600 is about 1480 counts. I guess I've got room to go longer, but I'd need to work out focus drift due to temperature.

Excellent shot! Already a winner imho.
You're quite a productive imager btw, Mike. Do you regularly get a lot of clear nights up there in Alaska?

Not really lately. I do usually take about 5-6 hours exposures on nights that work though. That number may go up to 8 or 10 hours as Winter tightens its grip.
I usually start on an object 2 hours before the meridian and then stop 2 hrs after meridian, then switch objects. I think I've done about 5 or 6 objects in the last couple months.

Superb image of this galaxy , another great one Mike.
15min subs , yikes its must have been cool temps to keep the sensor from pushing a bunch of noise into the shot.

Mike fantastic image, you've resolved 7331 beautifully, just amazed at the level of detail captured.
What scope are you using and imaging device?

Oddly, I imaged the exact same target a few weeks back with a C9.25 @ f/10 and 450D, almost same integration time, 2hr15mins.
FOV should be very similiar, yet 7331 is no where as large as yours in my original image??
Not taking anything away from your wonderful image, but anyone who says dark skies don't help are fooling themselves!
