Many members have ADM products and after reading a review on their dual dovetail saddle, this looked like the way to go. It is so much bigger and secures more of the dovetail bracket, besides having large lockdown knobs. Since it will take either a Vixen type bracket or Losmandy type, still allows for another upgrade. However it looks to be all I will need for my C6-R. I didn't know that the ADM saddle could take both DT's, thats a great option. I have a small pier and instead of locking it to the tripod I left it loose while tying to align with North. Luckily I was on grass and it just bent the lockdown bolts. I'm also glad it missed my foot. The ADM saddle is so nice and the much larger lockdown knobs and surface contact is a great improvement. Check the finish compared to the stock Atlas saddle.
