Help! Where can I find a 24" mounting rail for a C14 scope? I want to mount an 80mm guide scope. I've looked in the classified section, Losmandy web store and all the major scope venders. JayW

The big D style plate that Luke linked to is ideal, get some small D saddles and a set of rings and you're all set. That big plate is also the most useful (I was going to say flexible but that conjures up a different issue), you can mount the widest variety of items to it but it weighs and costs the most.
For an 80mm scope you can also use a good quality Vixen compatible bar (it will save some weight). I'd also have a talk with Anthony at ADM link, he may be able to get you exactly what you need without too much extra weight and such.

Make one for about $25. Look here:

The pictures aren't very good, but it works great.
Edit: My guidescope is now a 120mm f/8.3 Orion achro. Using short, straight strut brackets, I have it a little off-center to the left, to give me better balance. It's like a Leggo rail system - there's so much different hardware available for it at any hardware store, I can change the configuration any time and in any way. I don't think you can buy this kind of flexibility commercially.

Thanks so much guys! You can always count on CN members. Anthony at ADM did indeed have exactly what I needed. Thanks again, DocJay
