Hi folks , can you use a Toucam Fun USB PCVC720K or a Philips ToUcam II USB WebCam, or does it have to be the Pro version of the webcam? any help would be appreaciated as I'm kind of uninitiated in this field sofar..lol.

You really need the Pro version as it uses a CCD chip not like the CMOS chips on Fun version.
CCD is what you need.
I have seen the ToUcam Pro 2 priced for £65 with adaptor on Pulsar

Thanks Chris, I followed the link & purchased it. Here we go for some webcam imaging . I'll let you know how I get on. That's if we get any clear skies once it's delivered.

One of my mates ,gave me a semi-permanent loan of a T23 lappie & as I was only using redshift on it, I thought it was a bit of a waste, so my lovely missus said I could buy a webcam & try my hand at astrophotography & to tell the truth my digi camera just isn't up to it as it's full auto(all right for moon shots but not for anything else), so that's why I've went the way of the webcam, thanks for the link anyway mate ,you've saved me a bit of cash, as it's already got the 1'25" nosepiece built in.
