First night out new
      #3391621 - 10/15/09 05:40 PM

These are the first pics of objects taken through my telescope. I received my mount last weekend and last night was the first clear night so far.

NGC 7331
16 x 2min
wasn't really expecting much but I thought I'd give it a try.

Veil Nebula

This one was around 20 min. I know its way over processed but i wanted to see how much detail i could get.

Both pictures were taken by an unmodded 40d through an Orion Eon 80mm on an Orion sirius mount.

Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

You might what to host your pics on something like Photobucket.

I never made it to your Media Fire hostings because the links you put in your post bombed my computer with pop-ups, and I didn't want to click on the download link for the pics.

I agree with Adam.. that site opens a slew of ads and popups. But I saw your pics anyway, very nice for your first night! When you say 20 min, is it a single exposure of 20 minutes or a combination of subs?
If it's a single exposure then you had a crazy good polar alignment!

Sorry for the bad website, the pics are hosted on photobucket here.

NGC 7331

Veil Nebula

Also both of my pictures were taken with a bunch of exposures of 2 min each.

Nice images, and definitely a lot easier to access. It looks like your mount and scope setup is working well for you.
