I'd like some suggestions for an EQ mount for my ZS110 in the $500.00 (or less) range. I enjoy doing "Star Parties" and don't mind "Star Hopping" to various objects to show the attendees and would like to track the object. I don't think I need a two drive mount so an RA drive would work well. I don't need a Go-To mount (I use my LX90 for that). Currently, I use an "E-Z Touch" Alt-Az mount for the ZS110. Thanks Dave

Hey Dave... Here's an ad for a Meade LXD75 which would work well with your scope. I have a WO Megrez 110 on an LXD75. It's my grab'ngo scope and my outreach scope.

Super Polaris. $500 can sometimes get you not only a mount but a c8 to go with it. Greg N

CG5ASGT is one of the best values out there and available for under $600 new if you shop around.

Either the LXD75 or the CG5 are GREAT mounts for the ZS110. I had mine on the LXD75 and it was a perfect fit. Gads, I miss that scope.

For that scope, the most economical choice would be a used LXD-55.
The aluminum legged tripod is much lighter than the tripod on the newer CG5 and LXD-75, but is more than rigid enough for the intended applicaiton.
And while you might not NEED Go-To, it doesn't hurt anything, and you get electronic slow motion in both axises.
All for $300 or less.
You can't get a better deal in mounts than this, and it might be perfect for your needs.
Another excellent choice would be an older Polaris. These sell used for well under $200 (though finding one with a motor is not always easy). The other drawback is the rings need to be bolted to the tabs on the mount.
Still, this is a really high quality little mount that is very compact and has the added utility of being a fine teresstial Alt-as mount. Be aware that they come in three different versions: Fixed short legs intended for reflectors, adjustable short legs, and refractor legs. I would advise the last of course. But you can also easily bold on a set of aluminum legs from any CG5 type mount (pre-tube leg).
Good luck.

Another vote for the CG-5ASGT. I use mine to carry all my scopes, and the nearest scope I have to yours is the AT90EDT, an oversized 90mm weighing in about 13lbs without accessories. It carries it just fine, for visual or AP.
