Canon FD 400mm F/2.8 L with DSLR for astrophoto.

Does anybody use such an objective for deepsky photo with
DSLR camera? If yes, what the results?

Or can you give me a link to results with such objective?

Thanks!

What kind of modern DSLR can use the old Canon FD/FL lenses for imaging at infinity? (besides the 4/3 sensor models from Olympus, etc.)

None. Only with special Canon dapter with lens system which makes it F/3.5

However I managed to re-build the end of my lens and install an EOS adapter to use any modern Canon cameras.

However I still didn't take acceptable for demonstration deep sky pictures. Only some trial shots which show, that this lens has no coma and great potential in deepsky photo, especially with very narrow band filters.

Jerry,

I saw this review. But this is a modern EF IS lens.
My one is old FD model with manual focus.
It has perfectly round images in the center and slightly inferior ones in corners (I used Canon 350D modified).

Hi Valery,

Sorry, I misunderstood which lens you meant.
