if i record 1000 frames, registax stacks all of them, even the bad ones. what am i doing wrong???

Did you change the quality setting? try 95% and see how many you end up with

You may want to try ninox, I think it estimates quality better than registax.

With my data it depends on the image scale. Small image scale, no difference. Large image scale, Ninox gives slightly better images.
