You all know the red dot viewfinder that comes with the 125? Its OK, I sort of like to keep it but the glass lens fell out. Looks like the glue that held it in dried out and crystalized. I was thinking about how best to replace it, which adhesive would be best. Any ideas what to use? I thought of a small coat of silicone. Thanks in advance for your ideas!!!!

You could use a super glue GEL or some clear gorilla glue...
Typically the hardware store carries a variety of adhesives..

Makes sense..... I thought however that being the lens was glass it would not stick with plastic type adhesive, hence my tilt towards silicone. But super glue sounds good to go.... thanks much!!!!

If it's actual plastic, cyanoacrylate ("super glue") will chemically react with the plastic and cause crazing and disfiguring of the lens. If there's any oil or residue on the plastic, the glue will react to it. (This is why they often use "super glue" on those popular crime scene shows to get fingerprints to pop up.)
Your initial instinct is correct. A silicone based adhesive would be better. Not only will it be less likely to chemically react with the lens, but it tends to be more flexible over a wider range of temperatures, so it's less likely to crack, peel, or break down in extreme hot or cold observing conditions.
