Siebert binoviewers (Black Knight 22mm)
      #3395730 - 10/18/09 07:46 AM

Hi,
Does anyone know the optical quality (1/4 wave, 1/8 wave etc) of the Siebert Black knight 22mm ca Binoviewers. Also has anyone compared them to the Denk standards or Eathwins?
I know that the ca is smaller on the Siebert but other than that is the optical quality in the same league?

I own both Sieberts and Denk Standards and the optical quality differences are minimal, if they exist at all.

Siebert advantage = very lightweight, good optics excellent product support.
Denk advantage = able to use powerx switch giving quick access to multiple magnifications, good optics, excellent product support.

I use the lighter Sieberts on smaller scopes and the Denks on larger scopes. The powerx switch is a deciding factor if weight is not an issue.

Hi

I have the Black knight 22 with the Power Mag Wheel. Harry Siebert's equipment is terrific and these two items together are excellent together.

Hope this helps.

I agree and I have both. I use the Denk II with PS on my TEC140 and C14 while the BN works well with my Lunt 60mm due to its light weight.
