cosmic bubble NGC7635
      #3398208 - 10/19/09 02:46 PM Attachment (30 downloads)

Last night was killer seeing & transparency pretty much all night. I collected about 2 hrs of the bubble before meridian and about 2 hours afterwards. (23 x 10 mins)

The picture below is a 1x1 crop.

Here is a 1080P sized crop, scaled down a bit:

Wow! That's one of the most detailed I've seen. Very nice.

Great wispy details in the bubble, Mike. Well worth the 4 hours I reckon.

Regards.

Another faint here . Looking at the stars, the guiding must have been terrific. And as mentioned above: I don't think I've ever seen so much detail in the bubble.

Mike,

You really took advantage of the resolution of the TEC200
with this shot. Great image. I'll bet it is getting cold
enough at night up there in Alaska that you are getting the
benifits of a cooled DSLR naturally.

Great shot.

Tom

Makes me glad you didn't buy a super-CCD to go with that super-scope, and stayed here on the good side

Quite impressive Mike and an unmodded 40D? Unbelievable. My hat's off to you on that one.
