Hydrostone & Acryl 60 new
      #3397764 - 10/19/09 10:53 AM

Getting ready to make a grinding (and then polishing) tool(s) out of hydrostone.

I am considering adding Acryl 60 to the hydrostone mixture to make the tool(s) harder and water resistant.

Has anyone tried this? Any downsides?

Thanks...

Why? Hydrostone is plenty hard. Dry it out completely and it shrinks a little - soak it in water and it returns to where it was. Just get the mix close so it sets properly - no problems.

Best,
Mark
