New Darks with Newly Modded Camera?
      #3400236 - 10/20/09 01:37 PM

Just got my camera back from Gary Honis, cannot wait for the weather to break enough to give it a shot. Will I need to re-shoot my whole dark library since the camera has been modded?

Technically, you should not, since darks are just that,
images with no light. The filter would have nothing to do
with it, since it is covered during a dark frame. I would
give it a try first without (taking one as a contigency
anyhow), and only reshoot the library if needed. As long
as the imaging chip and electronics have not changed, the
dark frames should be the same afterwards as before.

Thanks. I plan on shooting some darks and hopefully lights tonight, maybe I'll try to test it with some of my older data.

Ya I have darks from before mine was modded and they seem to work fine.
