What's your favorite DSOs at mag. around 90x?
      #3400351 - 10/20/09 02:32 PM

Now, I have a 12" f/4.92 Dob for DSOs. I always use a Paracorr in focuser. I am using Nagler T5 31, 20, Ethos 13 and 8, which yields 56x, 86x, 133x, 216x individually. I use 31, 13, and 8 quite a lot, but 20 rarely got used. It seems redundant in my scope. I am debating if I should get rid of it. But I really like this EP, it's relatively small, light, extremely sharp to edge, and quite flat.
Do you think T5 20 is really redundant in my scope? Do you think mag. around 90x is very important and useful for DSOs? What's your favorite DSOs around this mag.? Thank you in advance.

My telescope is a f/4.96 and my eyepieces are 32, 20, 13, and 9 mm. I like to use my 20mm (158x) when the seeing is not steady enough for higher magnifications.

After a quick look through my logs I would have to say , pretty much most of the globs would be good at that magnification & galaxies like those found through the "Coma-Virgo" clutter .

Yes "clutter"

Do you think these objects might be more appropriate to be viewed around 90x than 130x?
