Group,
Does anyone have a circa 1968 manual for the 15TE they'd be will to post as a PDF? The one on Robert's site isn't correct for this model. I have the wooden tripod version. Thanks!!

Tried there , as always, as a frist try. The Manual is not the right one for my year. See the pic I posted on my original, it shows the cover of the one I need. Thanks!

Looks like you're looking for the 15TE version of my 10TE that is posted there. That and your motor instruction may seem like it's complete but I think there's a slight difference in the mounting it self. Like one does or does not come with an azimuth scale.

The 15TE I have doesn't have the Az scale, but my 10TE does. Also, there is a distinct difference in the mass of the 2 tripods, the 15 is substantially bigger.

Chuck, I've not noticed that the tripods were any different in the samples I've seen. I've seen 2 15TE, 1 10TE and a Sears equivalent and they all seem to have the same density and size legs. Only difference was that the older legs had a thinner stamped leg hardware while the later ones seem to have cast aluminum hardware -all painted black. Would love to see pictures that show them. Thanks.

Here are the dimmesional difference:
Round bottom tripod section 15TE diameter - 1.375" 10TE Diameter = 1.15"
Upper Section 15TE = 1.5" X .760" 10TE = 1.5" X .575"

Hi Chuck,
Very interesting. Thanks for the pic and the dimensions. I just measured mine and both the 10TE and the 15te have the same dimensions as your 15TE. The legs from my 7TE-5 might be the same as your 10TE. I'll have to check tomorrow. I wonder if the older 10TE's came with the thinner legs. Mine have the foam inserts so it is the later versions.

Jae,
You may be right, my 10TE is an older one with the box that has wood dividers.
