Building a Curved-vane Secondary Holder
      #3402059 - 10/21/09 12:11 PM

Hi gang:

Just posted an article on my web page describing how to build a simple curved-vane spider and secondary holder. This is kind of a companion piece to my Telescope Workshop column in the December S&T, which is just now off press and in the mail.

Happy reading!

Gary

Hi, Gary-
As always, enjoy the articles on your website! Do you have any idea when Part 2 of the article on improving the thermal issues in Newtonian scopes might hit the presses??? Interested to hear what you have to day!

Hi Wes:

Thanks.

Part 2 is moving to the front burner. As you've probably noticed, I've been tied up with getting some other things up and working up my S&T and SkyNews articles. I should get the thermals article up shortly.

All for now,
Gary

The Barn Door tracker article is great too Gary. Very easy to follow and good parts sourcing info. I have a manual one I made, but have been wanting to make a motor driven model. My weak point in my system has been my tripod connection. Mine shakes a lot when I make adjustments.

Very nice site with a lot of useful information. I'm also looking forward to Part two on the thermal issues.
