LXD75 Polar Scope....
      #3403079 - 10/21/09 08:49 PM

My LXD75 is about three years old now - its has the 2" legs. The Polar scope is driving me crazy. Or at least the way it turns on the light is. Mine has a large screw head that turns it off and on - seemingly at its own will.

Very similar to one I saw on a CG5 at a star party. Anyone figured out how to make one of these work so you have a real on/off? The batteries are not only hard to find but expensive

I think I read that a new version is out that has a real on and off switch, is that true?

Thanks,

Jeff

Ps. For three years two years this is only thing I've had a problem with on this mount. Like it a lot for the price.

Yes - but that version was on the very early LXD75 that I bought when they first came out, and on every other LXD75 I've seen. Dunno how you got the earlier, LXD55 version.

Thanks John.

Just ordered one of the newer ones (I bought mine used and it came with the AC Power Supply and shipping for $450 which was a good deal two years ago).

Cost me more in batteries for one season than the replacement:)
