I remember this from a Baader catalog I had when I was twelve...I always wondered what the image in one of those would be and it remains my dream to look thru one. Curiously this telescope is located near Stuttgart (Germany) which is also the place where I lived when I grew up.

Thats Neat!! if you look at dew shield (how it attach's) and screws on main tube it is almost exactly like 3" unitron compact refractor only bigger. The 4" unitron compact had a screw on dew shield. Why no picture's of lense

Unitron copied Zeiss. I have been told by a reliable source that the 102mm Unitron was an exact copy of a Zeiss objective.

Yes that seem's correct as Zeiss was in business longer then unitron. At least unitron did a good job on lense copy. neat and thanks for information preston. John

This would make sense, as post-war Japan's optical industry used Zeiss as the model.
