23rd activity new
      #3405735 - 10/23/09 08:07 AM Attachment (19 downloads)

I have just received the LS75/B1200 that I decided to buy last February. Somehow we have had 3 days of sunshine which is not the usual thing for new equipment , and even a sunspot . So still finding my way but pleased. Thanks Adrian, for the heads up yesterday!
I agree with Pete that there seems to be some activity all over the disk in two bands, clearly in the CaK disk shot.
Robert

For kit made in China. Lunt stuff comes from Arizona, perhaps moisture is sucked into the box when you open it.

Could they make a profit shipping empty boxes to beclouded astronomers worldwide?

I really like the CaK disc image, it looks as though there is a spotlet, or at least a pore, which should be visible in white light. Clouds which have been solid all morning here are now starting to thin; I might, or might not, get a look for myself.

Thanks for the views man! I just got my LS60THaDS a few days ago and it had been sunny a week and a half straight before I got it... you know the rest of the story.
I really am starting to believe that myth. Looks like it not that way for everyone!
