Polar Axis Finderscope/CG-5 Mount
      #3407026 - 10/23/09 08:30 PM

Bought a Celestron Polar Axis finder scope for my CG5 mount. It says it is for the CG5 AS but it does not fit into the housing.

5 Beers into the wind yes but... it still does not fit and it ain't the beer.

Supposed to simply pull the back housing and thread in but that is not going to happen.

Anyone else run into this?

Thanks

Update:

The Polar Axis Scope from Celestron is a new configuration. Unfortunately the directions have not been updated.

The new configuration is much larger and requires you to remove the smaller 3 screw adjustment piece completely from the mount. The polar scope then is auto allinged by simply screwing into place. Very nice, solid and needs no adjustment other than perhaps focus.

Working on a scope or mount go with coffee as beer does not work well. LOL
